The Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Ambala has released the official recruitment notification inviting unmarried male candidates from specific districts (Ambala, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, and UT Chandigarh) to apply for the selection test for Agniveer Intake for Recruiting Year 2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for various categories including General Duty, Technical, Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, and Tradesmen.
The online registration process commenced on 13 February 2026 and will continue until 01 April 2026. The selection procedure will be conducted in two phases: Phase I comprising an Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) scheduled tentatively from 01 June 2026, followed by Phase II which includes a Recruitment Rally. Educational Qualification Details :
- Agniveer General Duty (GD): Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
- Agniveer Technical: 10+2/Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. OR 10th/Matric pass with 50% aggregate and 40% in English, Maths, and Science along with 2 years of Technical Training from ITI or 2/3 years Diploma.
- Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical: 10+2/Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII is mandatory.
- Agniveer Tradesmen (10th Pass): Class 10th Simple Pass. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored 33% in each subject.
- Agniveer Tradesmen (8th Pass): Class 8th Simple Pass. No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored 33% in each subject.

Selection Process :
- Phase I (Online CEE): Computer-based written exam. 50 questions (100 marks) for GD/Tradesmen and 100 questions (200 marks) for Tech/Clerk. Negative marking applies.
- Phase II (Recruitment Rally): Shortlisted candidates will be called for the rally.
