Educational Qualification Details :
The essential educational qualifications required as of 01.08.2026 are as follows:
- Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute. Desirable: Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, Company Secretary, Masters in Commerce, MBA (Finance), or Masters in Business Economics.
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Demography, Population Studies, Operations Research, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence.
- All Other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University or equivalent.

Age Limit :
The age limits are determined as of 01.08.2026. Depending on the post applied for, the age requirements vary:
- For posts with age limit 18-27 years: Candidate must be born between 02-08-1999 and 01-08-2008.
- For posts with age limit 20-30 years: Candidate must be born between 02-08-1996 and 01-08-2006.
- For posts with age limit 18-30 years: Candidate must be born between 02-08-1996 and 01-08-2008.
- For posts with age limit 18-32 years: Candidate must be born between 02-08-1994 and 01-08-2008.
Permissible Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation beyond the upper age limit is applicable as per government norms:

Selection Process :
The recruitment process will consist of a Computer Based Examination conducted in two tiers:
- Tier-I Examination: Objective-type multiple-choice questions covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
- Tier-II Examination: Includes Paper-I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper-II (for JSO/Statistical Investigator posts), and Paper-III (for Assistant Audit/Accounts Officer posts). It features sectional timing, a Computer Knowledge Test, and a Data Entry Speed Test (DEST).
- Document Verification (DV): Conducted by the user departments/organizations after the declaration of the final results.
