Educational Qualification Details :

  • Candidates must possess the requisite educational and professional qualifications as prescribed by the State Government for the post of Higher Secondary Teacher.
  • Students studying in the final year of their Post Graduation and B.Ed. (during the academic year 2025-26) are also eligible to apply. However, they must produce the mark sheet of the qualifying exam before the recruitment process begins.

About Exam & Syllabus :

The TAT (Higher Secondary) exam consists of two stages: Preliminary (MCQ) and Mains (Descriptive).

1. Preliminary Examination (MCQ) – 200 Marks

  • Part 1: General Studies (100 Marks)
    • General Knowledge & Current Affairs (20 Marks)
    • Teacher Aptitude (35 Marks)
    • Logical Aptitude (15 Marks)
    • Gujarati Language Proficiency (15 Marks)
    • English Language Proficiency (15 Marks)
  • Part 2: Special Subject Test (100 Marks)
    • Subject Content (80 Marks)
    • Subject Method (20 Marks)
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates clearing the cut-off set by the board will be eligible for Mains.

2. Main Examination (Descriptive) – 200 Marks

  • Paper 1: Language Proficiency (100 Marks) – Gujarati/Hindi/English (depending on medium).
  • Paper 2: Content & Method (100 Marks).
  • Qualifying Standard: General Category (60%), Reserved Category (55%).
